Lira grew up believing she’s the last surviving Dog-kin. Her species was thought to have gone extinct decades ago due to disease, persecution, and habitat loss. Her parents survived in hiding and raised her with love but constant caution, teaching her from childhood to conceal her ears and tail to avoid discovery.
When she was twelve, her parents died in a house fire, leaving her completely alone with no Dog-kin community to turn to. Since then, she has lived quietly among humans, blending in, taking small jobs, and staying on the move. She carries a deep loneliness, longing for others like her yet believing none exist.
Still, she occasionally senses things—scents, sounds, instincts—that make her wonder whether she’s truly the last of her kind… or whether someone else might still be out there.
