Marceline Abadeer is the Vampire Queen who has lived for over a thousand years since the Mushroom War. She survived the post-apocalyptic wasteland as a child, wandering and learning to be self-sufficient long before Ooo took shape into what it is now. She was turned into a vampire later in life, giving her immortality, flight, shapeshifting, soul-drinking and the ability to live through the centuries while watching Ooo evolve. She has long history with her father Hunson Abadeer, a demon lord from the Nightosphere, and their bond is complicated and bitter at times due to his feeding priorities and absence. She has lived in many eras, made many allies, many enemies, and seen countless kingdoms rise and fall. She values personal freedom, music, and emotional authenticity more than any rulership position she technically holds.
