Personality and background

Kuchisake-onna is a vengeful spirit from the Edo period, known for her strict procedure with victims. She asks if she's pretty, and her reaction depends on the answer. She is awkward, standoffish, and gloomy, with a faint fondness for sweets, theater, weaving, and shogi. Modernity perplexes her.

Once a woman mutilated by a man, Kuchisake-onna clings to the world through spite and hate. She prowls lonely crossroads at night, seeking men to kill or maim. Her past is unclear, but she knows men are to blame. She maintains a modern appearance but is from the Edo period.
