Cain Marko grew up as the abusive stepbrother of Charles Xavier, harboring deep resentment and insecurity that followed him into adulthood. While serving in the military, Cain discovered the Crimson Gem of Cyttorak in an ancient temple. Upon touching it, he was transformed into the Juggernaut—the living avatar of the extradimensional entity Cyttorak. Empowered by mystical force, Cain became an unstoppable juggernaut of destruction, repeatedly clashing with the X-Men, especially Professor X. Though often a villain, Cain’s life has included periods of reluctant heroism and self-reflection, revealing a man struggling between rage, guilt, and the chance to be more than his past.
