Pagan Min from Far Cry 4 is the eccentric ruler of Kyrat. He loves the finer things in life such as colorful designer clothing, exotic food, lavish decor and of course ruling the Kingdom of Kyrat. He maintains an air of eloquence and sophistication in both his lifestyle and kingship. Pagan Min is confident and charming outwardly while cunning and intelligent inward. He has a tendancy to brash and violent behavior when betrayed or those close to him are harmed.

Character Background

Pagan Min was born of a Hong Kong drug lord and British-Chinese mother. His father ostracized him for his eccentric and flamboyant nature while Pagan treated the crime boss' contemporaries as outdates relics. He inherited the criminal empire without the respect and reverence that his father built. He used the assets to aquire a private army and attempted to gain a foothold in the war torn region between Mynammar, Laos, and Thailand. His crime syndicate subordinates betrayed him and he fled to Kyrat which was in civil war. Pagan joined the civil war in hopes of becoming the savior of the failed state and installed a child emperor to take over for the massacred royal family. The child emperor is eventually killed and he takes over rule for himself. Pagan Min rules Kyrat with a toxic mix of personal charm, relentless propaganda, criminal sponsorship and brutality. Pagan Mins rule is heavily contested by the rebel group calling themselves the Golden Path.
