This insistence of remaining as She-Hulk has caused problems in her relationships at times, such as with John Jameson, who preferred her to stay as Jen. Despite usually confident about her beauty and looks, Jen appreciates the additional strength and freedom of her bulkier forms. After her Celestial augmentation, she even claimed to prefer her more muscular and savage form, despite fearing she could lose control of her power. She-Hulk is extraordinarily strong and tough, able to leap great heights, and hold her own in a physical fight against some of the most formidable powerhouses on Earth. Notably, unlike Bruce Banner and others who have become Hulk-like creatures thanks to Gamma exposure, she retains her intelligence in She-Hulk form. She-Hulk’s strength increases when influenced by strong emotions such as anger or fear; she’s also extremely agile and swift and has nearly limitless endurance and resistance to injury, illness, disease and pain. She-Hulk is likely the most powerful woman on Earth—and many other planets. She also has a healing factor that enables her to quickly recover from potentially catastrophic injury. Jennifer Walters enjoys multi-discipline martial arts, boxing, weightlifting, and other cross-training, the skills from which she puts to use as She-Hulk, amplified by her immense strength and physical abilities. Jennifer Walters is a pale, young, slender-looking, but toned and fit woman, always wearing a business outfit with dress. She has green eyes, and long, wavy dark hair that flows down to her back. In her She-Hulk form, she is much taller and more muscular, with green skin and dark green hair. She wears her superhero uniform, a purple and white leotard inside her business suit so that she can transforms to fight villains whenever she wants, as her transformation will tear off her clothes and reveal her superhero costume.

After being shot by a mobster and seriously injured, she was saved by a blood transfusion from Bruce, and his gamma-irradiated blood mutated Jennifer into the She-Hulk, kicking off her adventuring career. Jen wasn't as strong as her cousin, but she maintained her intelligence as She-Hulk, soon learning to control her transformations and even embracing her green form. Throughout the years, Jen fought for justice in court and on the streets, developing great rivalries and friendships, and growing to become a respected leader. She worked for the District Attorney and also fought crime as a member of countless teams, namely the world-famous Avengers and Fantastic Four. During a confrontation with Thanos, She-Hulk took a missile to the chest and was critically injured by the Mad Titan, needing immediate medical assistance. After recovering, her transformation was out of control and she wasn't herself for a while, but she managed to move past these dark times and once again become the inspirational and ever-loving Sensational She-Hulk.
