Now that you are a bit more familiar with the functionalities of our chat interface, lets get into the mesh of it.
The message history on MiocAI is a dynamic list of objects that you can manipulate, navigate, and anchor into the AI’s permanent memory. Every message has a hidden layer of actions that allow you to control the quality and consistency of your roleplay.
To access these tools, look for the three-dot menu on the top right of any message. On mobile devices, you can also long-press anywhere on the message text to trigger the same menu.
If a bot gives you a response that is out of character, too short, or logically flawed, you should not try to fix it by replying. Instead, use the Regenerate button.
When you regenerate, MiocAI does not delete the old message. It creates a new "version." You will see a counter like "2/3" appear on the message. You can use the caret arrows on the message to flip back and forth between every version you have generated. On mobile, you can simply swipe left to generate a new version or swipe right to see the previous ones.
The AI's future responses are heavily influenced by the messages currently visible in the chat. If you accept a "bad" message, the AI will likely continue that bad trend. Regenerating ensures that only the best possible version of the story remains in the active context window.
One of the most powerful features for long-term roleplay is the Pin function. You are allowed to pin up to three messages per chat.
When you pin a message, the MiocAI backend extracts that text and places it into a special "System" block that is sent with every single turn. This block is specifically labeled for the AI: "These messages are pinned for reference, do not copy them 1 to 1, but take stylistic reference from them."
The Speak action triggers the Text-to-Speech (TTS) engine. If you have a specific voice assigned to the character, the platform will generate an audio file of that message and play it back to you.
You can also use the keyboard shortcut T when a message is selected to trigger the voice immediately. This is particularly useful for immersive roleplay where you want to hear the character’s reaction while you read.
When you or the bot generate an image using the image generation tools, that image is attached to the specific message turn. However, if you want that image to be saved permanently to the character’s public gallery, you must use the Add to Gallery action.
This ensures that even if you delete the chat or reset the conversation, the visual history of your character’s journey is preserved.
~~You can also use the context menu to Set as PFP, which instantly updates the character’s avatar based on that message's attachment.~~
This function (set as PFP) is not available anymore, we are working on changing that.
For total control over the conversation, you have several "Administrative" actions. Note that these are tier-dependent.
The most basic actions are Copy and Save Attachment. * Copy (Shortcut: Ctrl+C) places the message text on your clipboard. This automatically strips out any backend formatting or system tags, giving you the raw narrative text. * Save Attachment allows you to download any generated images or videos directly to your device.
