Short answer: your conversations are not a billboard, and nobody is reading them to sell you things. The longer answer matters though, because "private" means a few different things and you deserve specifics rather than a slogan.

What we do not do

We do not sell your data. There is no advertising network wired into your chats, no tracking pixel tucked into a message box, and no quiet handshake with a broker that turns your roleplay into a profile. The analytics we keep exist for counting things like signups, countries, and which features actually get used, and the reporting behind them is locked to admins. Your conversations do not get shopped around.

What gets stored, and where

Your chats have to live somewhere, otherwise they would evaporate the moment you closed the tab. Messages are kept in chat files tied to your account so you can return to them, regenerate an answer, or dig back through your own history. Settings, participants, and the general shape of the chat sit alongside those messages. When you want a chat gone, you delete it, and it is gone rather than tucked into a hidden archive.

The model still has to read your message

Here is the honest part, and it applies to every hosted AI service on the planet. To write a reply, the text of the conversation is sent to the model provider that serves the model you picked. That is how inference works. Your prompt goes out, an answer comes back, and none of it is used to build an advertising profile on you. Image prompts follow the same road to the image service that renders them.

Extra Secure Encryption

If you are on Elite or Apex, you can switch on Extra Secure Encryption for an individual chat from the chat settings panel. With it enabled, the message bodies and the memory entries are encrypted at rest with AES-256, so readable text is not sitting in plain sight on disk. A couple of structural pieces, such as the participant list and the chat settings, stay readable so the app can load the chat and show it to you. Turn it on for the conversations you would rather keep under lock and key.

Trackers and IP addresses

We are not following you around the internet. Analytics are first party and deliberately small, and IP addresses used there are stored as one way hashes rather than a tidy list of who you are and where you live. Rate limiting and abuse protection do use your IP for a short window, because every platform has to push back against bots and spam, and those records age out on their own schedule.

Payments

Card details never touch our servers. Payments are handled by the provider you chose at checkout, and we see the outcome, not your card number.

So, is it private?

Private in the sense that it is yours, it is not sold, it is not advertised against, and other users cannot browse it. Encrypted at rest if you turn that on. Deletable whenever you want. That is the deal, stated plainly.
