Privacy is not one switch you flip once and forget. MiocAI spreads a handful of controls across the app, and knowing where they live is the difference between hoping you are covered and knowing you are. Here is the tour.

Private characters

When you make a character you choose whether it is public or private. Private characters are kept out of the character browser, out of random selection, and out of every surface another user can browse. They belong to you, and the system does not hand them to anyone else. The full breakdown lives in Public vs Private if you want the long version.

Deleting a chat

Open the chat you no longer want and delete it. The chat file and its messages go with it. There is no slow decay and no secret second copy. If you only want to trim, you can delete individual messages or cut everything from a chosen point forward, which is handy when a thread takes a turn you would rather not keep.

Extra Secure Encryption

On Elite and Apex there is a per chat toggle called Extra Secure Encryption. Switch it on from the chat settings panel and the message bodies and memories are encrypted at rest with AES-256. It is the strongest option inside the product, and you enable it chat by chat rather than across the board, so you can protect the sensitive threads and leave the throwaway banter as it is.

Deleting your account

When you are done, you are done. Account deletion is self serve. You request it, we email a confirmation link that expires in twenty four hours, and once you confirm, the account is disabled and your data is cleared. That covers your chats and their files, your characters, your uploads, and a long list of database rows that reference you. One wrinkle: if you have ever held a paid subscription, the flow asks you to contact support instead, because billing history has to be unwound carefully. That is a paperwork rule, not a hostage situation.

Getting a copy of your data

If you want to see what is on file, email [email protected] and ask for a copy of your stored data. You do not have to explain yourself.

Inactive chats and retention emails

We send a heads up when a chat has sat untouched for a very long while, so nothing slips away without warning. The notice lays out the timeline and gives you room to come back or let it go. While the platform runs in its notify first mode, those emails are information rather than a countdown to an automatic purge.

Beta debug sharing

There is an optional debug sharing toggle for testers, and it stays off unless you deliberately switch it on. If you are not poking at beta features, you never have to think about it.
